Millville High School running back Alquann Jones scored three second-half touchdowns as the Thunderbolts beat host Lower Cape May Regional 22-7 in a Cape-Atlantic League inter-division game Saturday. The Thunderbolts (6-0) are ranked eighth in The Press Elite 11.

Jones, a senior, rushed for 214 yards on 32 carries and had touchdown runs of 11, 15 and 28 yards. Millville quarterback Shaq Lee passed for 2-point conversions to Rahon Sorrell and Zubir Boyer.

The Caper Tigers scored the only touchdown of the first half on a 61-yard pass from quarterback Mike Mulligan to wide receiver Vance Matthews. Matthews had five catches for 98 yards, and defensively had an interception. Caper Tigers' running back Frankie Ziegler had 89 yards on 23 carries.

With the score 22-7, Lower Cape May drove to the Millville 11-yard line with less than six minues left but an interception ended the drive.
