Holy Spirit quarterback Tom Hehre completed eight passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Donta Pollock opened up the scoring for the Spartans (2-1) with a 3-yard rushing touchdown. He had 28 carries for 156 yards. Matt Rubino and Nolan Liam each had a receiving touchdown in the shutout. Holy Spirit is No. 1 in The Press Elite 11.
Bridgeton (1-2) was down just 10-0 at the half and 17-0 when it threatened in the third quarter. Quarterback Tamar Jackson had two long pass plays that took the ball to the Spartans' 9-yard line. But Bridgeton fumbled the ball on the next play and Nigel Jones recovered the fumble and returned it 91 yards for a touchdown.
Jackson completed four passes for 83 yards and an interception.
