Pinelands Regional running back Matt McLain had a stellar performance, finishing the game with 322 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries. In the second half, McLain ran for 267 yards on 19 carries.
McClain scored on 7-, 40-, 90- and 6-yard carries.
With eight seconds remaining in the second half, Pinelands Regional senior linebacker Bobby Schwarzenberger ripped the ball out of the hands of Monsignor Donovan's Anthony Sasso and ran 54 yards for a touchdown that cut the Wildcats' deficit to eight points.
Pinelands went on to score four unanswered touchdowns in the second half en route to a Shore Conference interdivision win. After allowing 29 points in the first half, the Wildcats' defense limited Monsignor Donovan to seven points and only three first downs in the second half.
Defensive tackle Tyler Munson scored a 22-yard touchdown on the first play of the game after intercepting a pass from Monsignor Donovan quarterback Trevor Signorino.
