Why this game is special: These schools first met in 1917. Ocean City has won two straight, including 28-6 last season. These teams play for the Mike Slaveski-Bob Thomas Memorial Award, which is named for deceased coaches Slaveski (Ocean City) and Thomas (Pleasantville).

Pleasantville update: The Greyhounds are playing their best football of the season. Pleasantville beat Lower Cape May 42-28 on Nov. 17 and then lost in overtime to Collingswood 28-22 on Nov. 16. Quarterback Antwan Dixon leads the Greyhounds with his ability to run and throw.

Ocean City update: The Red Raiders have won two straight.

Quarterback Chris Curran threw five touchdown passes in a 33-22 win over Cumberland Regional on Nov. 16. He has 15 touchdowns for the season.

Linebacker Rob Zauck is one of the region's top defensive players. He had 104 tackles and six sacks in Ocean City's first eight games.
