Southern Regional quarterback Mike Balak completed 10-of-21 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Balak connected with Christian Bok on a 55-yard pass and Bill Shimko on a 12-yarder.
Brian Abbey scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Rams (4-4).
Howell quarterback Jimmy Ryan completed 30 passes to seven different receivers for 381 yards and four touchdowns. Phil Adamo caught eight passes and scored two touchdowns.
Southern was eliminated from the playoff race with the loss.
