Trailing by eight late in the fourth quarter, Buena faced a 4th-and-1 at the St. Augustine 6-yard line, but the Chiefs came up an inch short.
Calvin Cass scored two touchdowns — one on a 5-yard carry and the other on a 40-yard run — but left the game with an injury in the fourth quarter. Justyce Pollitt caught a 17-yard touchdown from quarterback Alex Hughes.
Both of Buena Regional’s touchdowns were scored on short runs by Luv’uan Scott.
