The local holiday high school football schedule concludes today with the annual rivalry game between Hammonton and St. Joseph.

The schools, located a few miles from each other in Hammonton, will kick off at noon at Hammonton.

Hammonton leads the series 26-21-1. The Blue devils have won three straight against St. Joe, including last year's 16-14 victory.

Both are perennial powers. St. Joe (8-1) is No. 4 in The Press Elite 11 and will play St. Mary's of Rutherford for the state Non-Public II title 5 p.m. next Friday at Rutgers University.

St. Joe advanced to the final with a 50-7 win over St. Anthony of Jersey City last Saturday.

St. Joe played without coach Paul Sacco, who was in the hospital after undergoing a procedure to stop bleeding on his brain.

Hammonton (7-3) is No. 8 in the Elite 11. The Blue Devils lost to Delsea Regional 16-14 in last Friday's South Jersey Group III semifinals.
