Why this game is special: These teams seem to always play the most entertaining game of the day. The 2004 and 2006 games went to overtime. Mainland scored in the final minute to beat EHT in 2008. EHT ended a five-game losing streak to Mainland with a 25-7 victory last year. The winner gets the Kiwanis Trophy.

EHT update: The Eagles qualified for the South Jersey Group IV playoffs, beating Shawnee 22-7 in the first round but losing to undefeated Cherokee 28-7 in the semifinals last Friday.

The Eagles feature some of the Cape-Atlantic League's most talented players in running back Stephan Thomas (155 carries for 564 yards) and wide receiver Kevin Marquez (36 catches for 559 yards and two touchdowns).

Mainland update: It's been a frustrating season for the Mustangs. Mainland is 6-3 on the field but had to forfeit four wins because of an ineligible player. Chris Kaczmarski (325 rushing yards) sparks the Mainland offense. Jim Cooper has kicked eight field goals.
