Why this game is special: This rivalry started in 1893 and is the 12th-oldest high school football rivalry in the country. Millville won 23-21 last year. Vineland won three straight before that.

Millville update: The Thunderbolts qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 1998 but lost to Atlantic City 32-24 in the first round. A victory will give Millville its first winning season since it finished 6-4 in 2005. Thunderbolts running back Alquann Jones has rushed for 711 yards and 10 touchdowns. Quarterback Shaq Lee has completed 68-of-119 passes for 1,040 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Vineland update: The Fighting Clan has won two straight, including a 20-7 win over Washington Township in a Nov. 12 consolation game. Vineland is 5-1 when running back Brian Winchester rushes for 100 or more yards. Winchester has gained 1,058 yards and scored 16 touchdowns this year. A victory would give Vineland its first winning season since it finished 7-3 in 2003.
