The Atlantic City High School football team won one game in 2009. Vineland won two. Both can start the 2010 season 2-0 with victories tonight. Atlantic City plays at Ocean City at 7 p.m. today. The Vikings haven't been 2-0 since 2005. Vineland hosts Pleasantville at 7 p.m. today. Vineland hasn't been 2-0 since 2003. Here's a previews of those and this weekend's other games. at Mainland Regional (0-1)
4:30 p.m. today: Mainland struggled to move the ball offensively in a 27-3 loss to Hammonton. Jim Cooper kicked a 34-yard field goal for the Mustangs' only points. St. Augustine squandered a late lead and lost to Atlantic City 26-24. Hermits running back John Barillo rushed for 155 yards and scored three touchdowns in the loss. This game was postponed from Thursday night due to lightning.
Atlantic City (1-0)
at Ocean City (0-1)
7 p.m. today (98.7 FM): Atlantic City equaled last season's win total with a 26-24 victory over St. Augustine Prep. Radi Tolbert rushed for 119 yards and had 113 yards receiving in the win. Ocean City lost to Vineland 12-0 in its opener. Ocean City beat Atlantic City 31-26 last season.
at Vineland (1-0)
7 p.m. today: Vineland will try to equal last season's win total and start 2-0 for the first time since 2003. Brian Winchester ran for two touchdowns and intercepted two passes in last week's 12-0 win over Ocean City. Pleasantville opened with a 36-0 loss to Bridgeton.
at Buena Regional (0-1)
7 p.m. today: These teams haven't met since 2005, a 41-7 Hammonton win. Hammonton is No. 11 in The Press Elite 11. Jared Sanchez scored three touchdowns in a season-opening 27-3 win over Mainland Regional. Buena opened with a 40-0 loss to St. Joseph. Buena standout quarterback and running back Donetae McKinnon injured his ankle in the first quarter against St. Joe and did not return to the game.
Millville (1-0) at Oakcrest (0-1)
7 p.m. today (1440 AM): Millville opened with a 35-7 win over Middle Township as quarterback Shaq Lee completed 7-of-8 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Oakcrest lost its opener to Holy Spirit 49-0. Joe Sprigg led Oakcrest with eight tackles. Millville beat Oakcrest 7-0 last season.
Middle Township (0-1)
at St. Joseph (1-0)
1 p.m. Saturday: St. Joe, No. 5 in The Press Elite 11, opened with a 40-0 win over Buena. Four different Wildcats running backs scored. Defensive end Kaiwan Lewis had a sack and an interception. Nigel Case scored Middle's only touchdown in a 35-7 loss to Millville.
Cape Henlopen, Del. (1-0) at Lower Cape May Regional (0-0)
1:30 p.m. Saturday: Lower returns as much talent as it has since it finished 7-3 in 2006. Chris Alicea is a versatile running back and receiver. Quarterback Mike Mulligan threw nine touchdown passes last season. Cape Henlopen was 1-9 last year but opened last Friday with a 35-0 win over Indian River.
Lacey Township (1-0)
at Brick Township (0-1)
7 p.m. today: Lacey, No. 4 in The Press' Elite 11, beat Wall Township 27-7 last week. Lions quarterback Craig Cicardo Jr. threw for 126 yards and a touchdown and ran for 110 yards and another score. Brick lost to Brick Memorial 34-0.
Central Regional (0-1)
at Pinelands Regional (1-0)
7 p.m. today: Pinelands running back Matt McLain rushed for 322 yards and four touchdowns in last week's 50-36 win over Monsignor Donovan. Central has won three straight against Pinelands.
Barnegat put up staggering offensive numbers in last week's 34-27 win over Rumson. Quarterback Nick SanGiacomo threw for 410 yards and four touchdowns.

7 p.m. today:
Wide receiver Mike DeTroia caught seven passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns.
Colts Neck (0-1)
at Southern Regional (0-1)
1:30 p.m. Sunday: Eric Sullivan's 10-yard pass to Ryan North gave Southern its only touchdown in a 34-7 loss to Red Bank Catholic. Colts Neck returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in a 33-14 loss to Long Branch. This game was postponed from Thursday night due to lightning.
Cumberland Regional (0-1)
at Highland Regional (0-1)
7 p.m. today: Cumberland opened with a 28-14 loss to highly touted Timber Creek last Friday. Cumberland's Charles Wynder returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown. He also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown. Highland lost to Triton 39-6 last Friday.
at Wildwood (0-1)
7 p.m. today: Wildwood opened with a 44-8 loss to Salem. Clayton lost its opener to Schalick 40-14. Clayton beat Wildwood 39-6 last season. Wildwood's last win came when it beat Clayton 24-18 in three overtimes on Oct. 10, 2008.
