Ingersoll used a dramatic comeback to take a 6-4 decision over Glen Rock's Chris Jacobson. Jacobson took a 4-3 lead on a takedown with 15 seconds left in regulation, Ingersoll escaped with 10 seconds left, then earned a match-winning takedown at the edge of the mat with 3 seconds remaining.

Ingersoll saw his season come to an end with a loss to Wall's Brett Donner in the consolations. Donner dominated from the outset en route to a 20-7, major decision victory.

Ingersoll dropped a 12-4 major decision in the pre-quarterfinals to Howell's Joey Schultz. Schultz used a takedown and reversal to take a 4-1 lead in the first period and Ingersoll was unable to mount a comeback.

Ingersoll’s road to Atlantic City: Finished second in District 32 and won Region 8.

Back points: Egg Harbor Township’s first region champ since Zach Agostino in 2010. Ingersoll has a bye into the pre-quarterfinals and will likely face top bracket No. 2 seed Joey Schultz of Howell in the pre-quarterfinals. Schultz finished second in Region 6.
