No. 1 Southern wrestling beats rival Jackson, but loses to two other state powers From Press staff reports The Press of Atlantic City Media Group

The Southern Regional High School wrestling team, No. 1 in The Press Elite 11, defeated Shore Conference rival Jackson Memorial 27-24 on Saturday in Stafford Township.

However, the Rams (3-4) lost 28-27 to Delbarton on criteria and 38-15 to St. Peter's Prep.

Southern is ranked No. 7 in the New Jersey Wrestling Writers Association Top 20 poll. St. Peter's Prep is No. 6, Delbarton is No. 8 and Jackson Memorial is No. 9.
