A 77-year-old trained a horse that a 50-year-old rode to victory in the Preakness, which should give anyone worried about the graying of America something to cheer about.

While most people accept achy joints or muscle weakness as part of the aging process, eyesight is a critical factor in maintaining a high quality of life and independence.

Orb came up short in the Preakness, frustrating everyone who made the Kentucky Derby winner a 3-5 favorite _ no one more than trainer Shug McGaughey.
