THURSDAY NIGHT► Cloudy with occasional rain and drizzle. Windy with lows in the low to mid 60s. Minor to moderate tidal flooding is expected during the evening high tide (7-10 p.m.) along the shore, back bays, and Delaware Bay. Northeast winds 15-30mph still may gust over 40mph along the shore.
FRIDAY► Continued cloudy, windy, and wet with periods of showers or drizzle. Highs around 70 with still brisk northeast winds 15-25mph and gusts to 30-40mph along the shore, but diminishing a bit later in the day. With the new moon on Friday, tidal flooding is again expected during both the morning and evening high tides, with the morning high tide a little higher due to the stronger winds.
SATURDAY► Mostly cloudy and remaining unsettled with some scattered showers and drizzle, though not as wet or windy as the previous few days. Highs in the low 70s with a lighter east or northeast breeze shifting from the southeast around 10-15mph.
SUNDAY► Clouds and perhaps a shower or two lingering with a hint of drizzle, but with any luck, gradually trending drier during the day. Maybe a few breaks of sun, maybe, if we're lucky. Highs around 70-75 with a light southeast breeze around 10mph.
EARLY NEXT WEEK► Partly sunny, drier, and pleasant with highs in the low to mid 70s on Monday, trending closer to 70 by Tuesday and Wednesday as a northeast ocean breeze increases through the middle of the week. We'll watch Matthew, a tropical system that may be off the Southeast US coast later next week, but its future path is still unclear.
