THURSDAY► Cloudy with occasional rain and/or drizzle likely. Windy and cool with highs around 70. Stiff east then northeast onshore winds around 15-30mph with gusts to 40mph along the shore. Minor tidal flooding likely during the morning and evening high tides.
FRIDAY► Continued cloudy, windy, and wet with periodic rain, rain showers, or drizzle. Highs in the low 70s with still brisk northeast winds 15-25mph and gusts to 30-40mph along the shore. With the new moon on Friday, minor tidal flooding is again expected.
SATURDAY► Mostly cloudy and remaining unsettled with some scattered showers and drizzle, though not as wet or windy as the previous few days and perhaps drying later in the day. Highs around 70-75 with a lighter southeast breeze around 10mph.
SUNDAY► Clouds and perhaps a shower, otherwise perhaps finally drying out with skies becoming partly sunny during the day. Highs in the mid 70s as we finally welcome back the sunshine.
EARLY NEXT WEEK► Partly sunny, drier, and pleasant with highs in the low to mid 70s on Monday, trending closer to 70 by Tuesday and Wednesday as a northeast ocean breeze increases through the middle of the week. We'll watch Matthew, a tropical system that may be off the Southeast US coast later next week, but its future path is still unclear.
