SOMERS POINT BEACH CONCERT SERIES

The Somers Point Beach Concert Series starts up again 7 p.m. Friday, June 15. Now in its 26th year, the concert series is a favorite among locals, and runs every Friday at 7 p.m. until Sept. 7. Kicking off the season is “Countdown to Ecstasy,” which will unite 11 musicians in a tribute to Steely Dan. Bring beach blankets and chairs. PANCAKES FOR PAWS

Enjoy a pancake breakfast in support of Beacon Animal Rescue 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16. Head to the Applebee’s in Somers Point to join in. CAPE MAY STAGE 30TH ANNIVERSARY

In honor of Cape May Stage’s 30th anniversary, a fundraising gala will be held Saturday, June 16, themed “A Pearl Evening.” The event will take place at the Corinthian Yacht Club, which boasts a view of the Cape May shore. ART IN THE PARK

Check out the 3rd annual Art in the Park 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16, presented by the Somers Point Arts Commission. The event will have a number of pieces from professional and amateur artists for sale, a plein aire painting competition, prizes and more. Located at John F. MISS NEW JERSEY

Current Miss New Jersey Kaitlyn Schoeffel will pass down her crown to one of 28 hopefuls this weekend at the Ocean City Music Pier during this year’s Miss New Jersey pageant. The contestants will compete in a number of categories, including evening wear, lifestyle and fitness and question and answer, during the weekend long competition, themed “Women in History.” The preliminaries occur 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, June 14 and 15, and the finals begin 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16. WILDWOOD EVENTS

Chow down at Wildwoods Restaurant Week from Sunday to Thursday, June 17 to 21. Participants will offer four-course meals, including appetizer, salad, entree and dessert for $30. Go to ChewWildwood.com for a list of participating restaurants. Also in Wildwood, the National Marbles Tournament will come to the Ringer Stadium Monday to Thursday, June 18 to 21.
