BEACH PLUM FARMS COTTAGES AND BAKERY, Cape May

Beach Plum Farm has constructed cottages and barns on the property for guests to stay the night throughout the summer. The two cottages and three barns can sleep from two to 12 people, and feature kitchens, screened porches and wood stoves. At turndown, fresh eggs and meat can be provided so guests can cook their own breakfasts in the morning. They are also invited to enjoy a meal in the main barn, participate in egg, potato or strawberry harvests or enjoy the warmth of the campfire. Beach Plum Farm has also recently opened a bakery and café at West End Garage (484 W. Perry St., Cape May). It serves La Colombe’s Draft Latte on tap and offers different artisan food products every day. Beach Plum Farm is located at 140 Stevens St., West Cape May. Go to BeachPlumFarmCapeMay.com.

WILDWOOD PARKING LOT, Wildwood

Parking can be a hassle when it comes to a beach trip, with scarce spots available, meters and having to lug beach accessories all the way to the ocean. So, this summer Wildwood will open a new parking lot on the beach itself next to the Convention Center. Open weekends beginning Memorial Day and daily starting the third week of June, the lot will cost $10 for the day between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and $20 for special events. Located at Baker Avenue on the beach.

GALE FORCE TRACK, Ocean City

A year after its opening, the Gale Force roller coaster of Playland’s Castaway Cove will receive an entirely new track. This replacement has come after feedback that the coaster was too bumpy. Gale Force reaches speeds of 64 mph and stands more than 120 feet over the boardwalk. Thrill-seekers can expect a much smoother ride this summer season at Castaway Cove. Open now. Located at 1020 Boardwalk, Ocean City. Go to OceanCityFun.com.
