JAY AND THE AMERICANS

CAPE MAY CONVENTION HALL // 8 P.M. WEDNESDAY, JULY 17; $48

WHAT TO EXPECT: With their squeaky clean look and doo wop influences, Jay and the Americans seemed a bit outdated when they first began making records, yet managed to remain popular throughout the 1960s. The New York-based group is still on the road all these years later and will perform at the Cape May Convention Hall Wednesday evening. Fans can expect to hear all of their hits such as “Cara Mia,” “She Cried,” “Come a Little Bit Closer,” “Only in America” and “This Magic Moment.”
