With bright spring colors and candy to boot, the Lollipop Passion at Sugar Factory might just be the perfect drink for Easter.

The anticipation of the Easter Bunny brings with it images of jelly beans, chocolate bunnies, eggs stuffed with any number of confections (coconut cream, butter cream, marshmallow, caramel, peanut butter, you name it), and brightly colored Peeps. And while those goodies all sound delicious, you can leave the candy to the kids. This year, try one of these five cocktails worthy of your Easter Basket.

1. The Lollipop Passion

Head to The Sugar Factory at Hard Rock and get your hands on the Lollipop Passion, a cocktail served in a 60-ounce goblet that will make your marshmallow Peeps jealous! Made with a mix of melon, coconut and pineapple and garnished with lollipops, this goodie is a delightfully sweet treat. Though it can be made without alcohol, our preferred version includes melon liqueur, Cruzan Coconut Rum and Burnett’s Citrus Vodka. Located at 1000 Boardwalk Ave. in Atlantic City. Go to

2. MaDe Warm Drinking Chocolate

The weather’s warming up, but it’s not too warm to not still drink hot chocolate. Head to MaDe Atlantic City Chocolate Bar for a Warm Drinking Chocolate made with your choice of Kahlua, Chambord, Grand Marnier or Slane’s Irish Whiskey, topped with a freshly toasted marshmallow cream. It’s just as good — if not better — than anything you would get in that Easter basket. Located at 121 S. Tennessee Ave. in Atlantic City. Go to for more.

3. Anything at Wet Willie’s

For all the colors of an Easter basket, head to Wet Willie’s in Resorts, for the Green Apple Frozen Daiquiri, or really, any of the brightly hued frozen drinks. In addition to Green Apple, we like Monkey Shine, Monster Melon, and Peach … they’re like that equivalent of adult jelly beans — bright, sweet and delicious! Located at 1133 Boardwalk in Atlantic City. Located at 1133 Boardwalk in Atlantic City. Go to for more information.

4. The Spring Rain

Want to skip the sweets and just tap into spring? Head to Fred & Ethel’s Lantern Light Tavern for their seasonal drink the Spring Rain. Made with your choice of vodka or gin, plus sour mix, lime juice, and muddled mint and cucumber in a mason jar, this “staff favorite” screams spring, Easter Bunny or not. Located at 1 N. New York Road in Galloway. Go to for more information.

5. Chocolate Martini

If chocolate is really all you’re thinking about when you think Easter candy, be sure to get your hands on a chocolate martini from the Brown Room. Made with Absolut Vanilla, Godiva White and Dark, and Chocolate Syrup, it’s the ultimate dessert in a glass. Or try one at The Doc’s Place, where they serve 7.5 ounces of deliciousness in a glass. Brown Room is located at 200 Congress Hall in Congress Hall Hotel in Cape May. Go to Find The Doc’s Place at 646 Bay Ave. in Somers Point. Go to
