During the past five years, Chris Ferry has gained an appreciation for living next to the Harbor Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township.

Ferry would like to give a prospective homeowner the same opportunity.

“When you are working in the kitchen, you are looking at the window, and you are looking right down the 13th fairway,” said Ferry, who added he likes to cook. “It’s a good kitchen to cook in.”

Ferry is only the second owner of the home since it was built in 2000.

“There is a great backyard with pavers. There is a swimming pool. There is a fire pit that is electronically started, so there is no fuzzing,” Ferry said. “It’s a great house to live indoors and outdoors.”

Ferry enjoyed the view of the golf course, whether it was green or filled with snow. Ferry, who plays golf, has had lunch and drinks at Harbor Pines with his wife and took lessons on the practice greens.

“It’s a great lifestyle, if you like golf,” Ferry said.

The only reason Ferry is selling the home is his family grew. They needed a bigger house.

A two-story entryway with a great deal of natural light greets visitors. There is hardwood flooring throughout. The fresh paint job is in various hues of gray.

A chef’s eat-in kitchen with huge center island, granite counters, under-cabinet lighting, double oven, six-burner gas stove, stainless steel appliances and oversized pantry is on the first floor.

The kitchen opens to a family room with soaring ceilings, new custom drapes and a gas fireplace. Other rooms on the first floor include a study, half bath, formal living room, formal dining room and laundry room.

The second floor boasts a master bedroom with a master bath, his-and-her walk-in closets, a tray ceiling, three other bedrooms and two full baths, Ferry said.

Besides being next to the golf course, Ferry likes the neighborhood his house is located in. All the houses are unique. In Ferry’s case, he has a brick front and siding on the side.

“Everybody keeps their house nice. It’s quiet,” said Ferry, who added there are no homeowner association fees in Harbor Pines.

An open house will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 24 at 2 Pebble Beach Drive in Egg Harbor Township.
