The design of the A1X has remained consistent, though a few notable changes have improved performance in meaningful ways. Otherwise, it maintains the same rounded head and magnetic mount for Light Shaping Tools that made the original model so successful. Making this flash even better is AirTTL and HSS support for automatic metering. It also has an LED modeling light, a clean user interface, a built-in Air Remote, zoom function, and more.

Profoto is also offering an Off-Camera Kit. This bundles the A1X with a Connect Remote and is available for Canon, Nikon, and Sony systems.
