Survival ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are being held at Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue. The classes target individuals whose low English level prevents them from interacting with English speakers in their daily lives. The classes will focus on vocabulary for daily life and the basic grammar patterns of English.
Beginning classes will take place every Monday and Friday from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Intermediate classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30– 11:30 a.m. All classes are free and open to residents of Vineland, Millville or Bridgeton (Vineland residents will have priority) who are at least 18 years old and grew up speaking any language other than English. Classes will meet in the Community Event Room. Enrollment is ongoing. Interested students must bring their library card with them to register, and a notebook and pencil to use in the class.
