This is a fun and free event for boys and girls between the ages of 8 & 13.  The 8-9 year old groups get an advantage of shooting 5 feet closer to the net. Everyone from the area is welcome to compete. The event is open to the public.

The competition consists of each individual shooting 25 free throws. 15 shots and then after a break an additional 10 shots. The boys and girls shoot separately  and the groups are 8-9, 10-11 & 12-13. We ask parents kindly bring proof of the children's age to registration. We only do this to ensure each child shoots in the proper age bracket.

Winners of each group move on to the District Championship where they compete against the winners from 8 other lodges throughout Southern NJ. If they win Districts they can go to States, then Regionals & finalizing at Nationals. Winners at the National Championship will have their names placed on a plaque in The Basketball Hall of Fame.   The National Championship is held at The Chicago Bulls Arena and is a really exciting event. Children are announced just like the Bull's enter their games.

The Elks offer a wide array of programs which benefit The Youth in our communities. Along with friendly physical competitions, we offer Drug Awareness Programs, Special Needs Programs, Writing Competitions & several Scholarship Programs.
