Visiting the Atlantic City area? Stop by the ACUA's facility for a free tour of the Jersey Atlantic Wind Farm. One hour tours are offered on Monday and Friday at 12 noon from July 8 through the end of August.  ACUA's wastewater treatment facility is home to the first commercial wind farm in New Jersey. It's the largest hybrid wind and solar powered water treatment facility in the world and the first coastal and urban wind farm in the nation. Get a closer view of the wind turbines, see 500 kilowatts of solar power at work and learn how ACUA uses renewable energy to treat wastewater.  The tour is open to all ages, but may be more appropriate for kids 8 and up. No reservations are required, but please arrive by 12 noon.
