An Atlantic County grand jury has indicted an Egg Harbor Township man in the fatal shooting of another man in 2010.
Jerome Byrd, 29, was indicted on murder and weapons offenses in the shooting of Scott Godfrey, 21, of Pleasantville, on May 10, 2010, acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced Wednesday.
Godfrey was shot multiple times outside a convenience store on West Park Avenue in Pleasantville.
Byrd was arrested at a mobile home on the 6000 block of the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township on July 2, McClain said. He is being held at Atlantic County jail on $1 million cash bail.
