BRIGANTINE — Maria Lizza Dela Pena represented Brigantine North Middle School at the New Jersey School Boards Association's Eighth Grade Dialogue.
The event invites one student from every middle school in Atlantic County to discuss their time in middle school and what they hope for their future in high school.
The eighth-grade student mainly discussed how she learned to treat others with respect at all times.
Dela Pena also mentioned how she has learned to always work hard and persevere in the classroom and in life.
Students were also asked what can be done to improve middle schools and what they want their high school teachers to know about them. Students made recommendations on how to make their schools safer.
