EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — Children are invited to explore the wonderland beyond the rabbit hole at the Mad Hatter’s Unbirthday Tea Party at Fernwood Avenue Middle School

Hosted by the Fernwood Drama Club, guests will have the chance to enjoy tea and snacks with Alice, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit and other beloved characters from Lewis Carroll’s classic story of Alice In Wonderland.

The Mad Hatter’s guests will also have the chance to hear Alice read the Wonderland story, meet a variety of princesses and see a sneak preview of some of the songs from Disney’s "Alice In Wonderland Jr."

The party will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 in the school cafeteria. Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $5 for each child. Accompanying adults are free.

"Alice In Wonderland Jr." will be performed at Fernwood on Nov. 16, 17 and 18.

“We thought a tea party hosted by the Mad Hatter himself would be a great opportunity to share the magic and excitement of this show with the community,” said Matthew Guerrasio, co-director of the musical. “Not only will the event help defray our costs for this and future productions, but it will also offer families in the area an afternoon of wholesome entertainment at an affordable price.”

Fernwood Avenue Middle School is at 4034 Fernwood Ave., Egg Harbor Township. Guests are welcome to dress as their favorite princess or storybook character and to enter the school through the auditorium entrance. For more information, contact Meghan Howell at howellm@eht.k12.nj.us.
