The Atlantic County Library System's Mays Landing and Egg Harbor Township branches each received 2018 Garden of Distinction recognition by the Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Both library branches were entered in this year's Gardening and Greening Contest, which recognizes the achievements of gardeners in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

The Egg Harbor Township branch won for its first-time entry in the tiered pollinator garden category.

This is the Mays Landing branch's second year winning in the courtyard pollinator garden category. Both gardens are designed, planted and maintained by Rutgers Master Gardeners of Atlantic County.
