Shawn McGraw picks off 3 pass for A.C. in 12-7 loss to Timber Creek

Atlantic City High School got six interceptions, including three by cornerback Shawn McGraw, but lost to host Timber Creek Regional 12-7 on Oct. 26  in a West Jersey Football League game in Gloucester Township.

In the second quarter, McGraw returned one of the interceptions 25 yards for the Vikings’ only touchdown. Erick Nieto’s PAT was good, and Atlantic City took a 7-0 lead into the fourth quarter.

Also for the Vikings (0-8), cornerback Sencere Brinson had two interceptions, and quarterback-linebacker Connor Culmone had one.

Timber Creek (3-5) scored in the fourth quarter but missed the extra point, leaving A.C. up 7-6. But the Chargers scored the winning TD with two minutes left. A 2-point try was stopped.

McGraw, also a running back, led A.C. with 45 yards rushing. Linebacker Michael Arring-ton had seven tackles.
