Area youth basketball teams competed at the eighth annual Greater Cape May Elks/Tom Beheler Youth Basketball Tournament Dec. 27-29.
Ocean City and Lower Township were among the winners in the five age brackets. Ocean City won the boys third- and fourth-grade age group, and Lower Township boys took first in the fifth- and sixth-grade championship.
The tournament took place at the Lower Township Recreation Center in the Villas section of the township, and at the Richard M. Teitleman School in Cape May.
Also winning their age brackets were the Linwood fifth- and sixth-grade girls, the Northfield seventh- and eighth-grade girls, and Hamilton Township seventh- and eighth-grade boys.
