The Historical Preservation Society of Upper Township is hosting a program Tuesday, Oct. 9, with author Joseph G. Bilby, co-author of the book 'A History of Submarine Warfare along the Jersey Shore.'

UPPER TOWNSHIP — The Historical Preservation Society of Upper Township is hosting a program Tuesday, Oct. 9, with author Joseph G. Bilby.

Bilby, co-author of the book “A History of Submarine Warfare along the Jersey Shore,” is the historian of the National Guard Militia Museum of New Jersey in Sea Girt and will discuss the history of submarines off the New Jersey coastline from 1776 through World War II. The program will begin at 7 p.m. and refreshments will be served. A short business meeting will follow the presentation.

The program will take place at the Upper Cape Branch Library, 2050 Tuckahoe Road, Petersburg, Upper Township. Guests are encouraged to RSVP by going to UpperTwpHistory.EventBrite.com.
