Atlantic City Fashion Week Season 12

Atlantic City Fashion Week will return for its 12th season Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 15 to 17, at Showboat Hotel.

The New York-style fashion show is presented by fashionSTYLE Magazine and KingBee Media and highlights collections from local, regional and international designers. About 250 models will showcase collections, beginning with the Student Showcase from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, featuring student and first-time designers from ACIT, Lacey Township High School, The Art Institute and Moore College.

On Friday, Ready to Wear designers and designers from the television show Project Runway will be featured from 7 to 9:30 p.m.. Then, at the same time Saturday, fashions from international avant garde and couture designers will be showcased. An after-party will follow Saturday’s event at Showboat’s Scarduzios, with free admission for all ticket holders.

In addition to the shows, vendors will be in attendance with fashion and beauty items for purchase. Advance tickets are $30 or $50 for Thursday’s Student Showcase, $40 for Friday’s Ready to Wear event, and $50, $100 and $350 for Saturday’s Couture show. General admission tickets will increase to $75 the day of the show.

Broadway Boys at Stockton PAC

A group of six talented male vocalists will re-invent your favorite Broadway tunes during a performance 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Stockton University’s Performing Arts Center.

The Broadway Boys, formed in June of 2005, are known for putting new twists on classic tunes. Expect to hear showtunes tunes and classic songs coupled with a pop, funk, Gospel, jazz and folk music.

Chili & Chowder Cook Off in Cape May

Taste around 20 different types of chili and chowder during Cape May’s 8th Annual Chili & Chowder Cook Off noon to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18.

The event will take place at the 5th-floor Oceanfront Penthouse Lounge & Ballroom at the Grand Hotel in Cape May. Chefs in and around the city will offer a taste of their finest chili and chowder recipes, with guests sampling and then choosing their favorite. Check out the local craft vendors in attendance, selling handmade goods and other items. There will also be a cash bar with wines, beers and cocktails, along with the Drink of the Day, created just for the event.

Admission is $10. Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to help support local food banks. The Grand Hotel is located at 1045 Beach Ave., Cape May. For more information, call 609-884-5508.
