VINELAND — Nearly 900 degrees and certificates were awarded Thursday by Cumberland County College to the third-largest graduating class in the college’s history.

More than 700 graduates received associate’s degrees during the annual commencement Thursday. An additional 136 students received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the two Cumberland County College on-campus partner universities, Montclair State and Wilmington, at ceremonies earlier in the day.

Robert O. Carr, an entrepreneur, author and philanthropist, addressed the graduates.
