MAYS LANDING — Two sisters have been arrested after physically assaulting faculty after a fight involving multiple students at Oakcrest High School last month, police said Thursday.

Shabirah S. Davis, 26, of Egg Harbor City, and Badiah J. Davis, 25, of Newark, were charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct as a result of a monthlong investigation, police said.

Officers were called to Oakcrest at 12:25 p.m. Feb. 8 for a report of a fight involving multiple juvenile students. Police said the Davis sisters arrived at the school in response to the fight, but that the fight had already been stopped by that time and was under control.

Police said the two women physically engaged with school employees and faculty.

“Any adult that enters our school buildings without authorization will be arrested,” said Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District Superintendent John Keenan.
