When it does snow, it will be a heavy, wet snow. The snow will likely stick to the roads, too, because it will need heavy precipitation for it to changeover, making it heavy snow. If you do need to shovel (And most won't due to timing and low totals), it will be a struggle.
Road crews have the challenge of going from a rain to snow or mix event. Brining roads in much of southeast Jersey ahead of time just means that most of it will just wash away until the snow comes. Being that snow will stick to roads when it falls, any traveling through snow Sunday evening will be difficult.
