The Sea Isle City Beach Patrol celebrated 100 years of their professional lifeguards protecting the city's shoreline with a parade down the promenade and ceremony Thursday. Former lifeguards and beach patrol alumni came together to honor the beach patrol's oldest living lifeguard, Andy Sannino, 100, who worked as a summer lifeguard in the 1930s. The centennial celebration concluded with a row out of three surfboats to drop wreaths in the ocean for fallen veterans, past members of the Sea Isle Beach Patrol and all beach patrols who have died.
