Tony Bennett, a classic crooner with more than 50 years under his performing belt, turns 90 years old today. Happy birthday, Tony!

He's no stranger to playing Atlantic City, even marking special occasions, such as his 50th anniversary of being a stage performer. In 2000. He's got staying power.

Most recently, Bennett played in 2015 the Event Center at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa with Lady Gaga. Staff writer Vincent Jackson likened the performance to a quote about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers from actress Katherine Hepburn: "He gives her class, and she gives him sex appeal."

But before then, Bennett sang his way through the Atlantic City circuit many a time. Here are some of the highlights, and several reviews and write-ups, of his area concerts through the past few decades.

2013: Bennett played the Borgata

2009: Bennett performed at Caesars Atlantic City, a venue he frequented.

2007: Bennett was scheduled to play two nights at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City. Writer Vincent Jackson commented on the bare-ness of the night, saying Bennett performed with a four-piece band on opening night.

2005: Bennett sings at Harrah's.

2002: Again, Bennett plays in Caesars.

2000: Caesars again, but this time Bennett Caesars celebrated 50 years as a stage performer. He sang 27 songs in 80 minutes, wrote Vincent Jackson.

1998: Bennett finished a three-night stint at the Trump Taj Mahal. Tickets were $35 and $50 for the final night's show.

1997: Trump Taj Mahal hosts Bennett.

1995: Bennett played two nights at Caesars Atlantic City to preview his "latest" album, "Here's To The Ladies."

1994: Tony Bennett featured in a live television event, hosted by Merv Griffin, at Resorts. Bennett was also slated to perform at Resorts during the same time. (Side note: Bennett also served as the honorary chairman for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation June 15, 1994 at the Atlantic City Country Club)

1993: Bennett performs in Griffin's New Year's Eve special, broadcast from Resorts. Earlier that year, Bennett played in TropWorld (yes, TropWorld), the name of the Tropicana resort in the late 1980s.

1992: A Columbus Day holiday concert by Bennett was mentioned in a 1992 column by David Spatz, but the main focus of the piece was saying why one woman was glad to miss the performance.

1991: You probably know Bennett as a singer, but he also had his hand in the visual arts world. In 1991, he showed off some of his paintings before a concert in the Windsor Room of the Trump's Castle Casino Resort.

1990: David Spatz with another Bennett fan's story; this one with a personal Bennett touch after a frustrating misunderstanding.
