Danica McKellar

Danica McKellar, New York Times bestselling author and Winnie Cooper on "The Wonder Years," will join the celebrity panel of judges for the live Miss America competition finale on Sept. 13, 2015. 

You might know Danica McKellar as the New York Times bestselling author behind the titles "Math Doesn’t Suck, Kiss My Math," "Hot X: Algebra Exposed," and Girls Get Curves: Geometry Takes Shape."

Or you may have seen McKellar's name on the credits of "The Wonder Years," as Kevin Arnold's love interest Winnie Cooper. 

Now, she'll add Miss America celebrity judge to her resume. 

McKellar was announced Monday as the sixth celebrity judge for the live Miss America finale on Sept. 13. The final competition, which will take place in Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall, will be broadcast live starting at 9 p.m. on ABC.

"The Miss America Organization shares my passion for the advancement of women in the STEM fields and celebrates smart, strong women– exactly aligning with the messages in my math books aimed at empowering young women,” said McKellar in a statement. “I am proud to be part of the show and an organization that is such a huge advocate for education.”

McKellar will join the following judges on the panel: 

-Brett Eldredge, country singer

-Taya Kyle, author and wife of the late Chris Kyle, the U.S. Navy SEAL who influenced "American Sniper"

-Kevin O'Leary, entrepreneur and well-known shark on ABC's "Shark Tank"

-Amy Purdy, 2014 Paralympic snowboarding bronze medalist 

-Pop recording artist and television star Zendaya

"The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison and media personality Brooke Burke-Charvet will co-host the pageant. Nick Jonas, formerly of The Jonas Brothers, will act as the music curator for the show.
