Atlantic City Electric will hold an announcement Friday with details of a new workforce development program in partnership with three South Jersey vocational schools.

The announcement will be at noon on Friday at Atlantic County Institute of Technology in Mays Landing.

Atlantic City Electric, as part of its merger with Exelon, is funding a $6.5 million initiative to expand training programs to help fill future energy jobs across the state, according to a news release.

The company will partner with three vocational schools and four workforce development boards to create a program that educates the "clean energy workforce."
