An Atlantic City police officer was placed on an administrative assignment after a video surfaced Tuesday night showing him behaving inappropriately. The video was circulating social media on Wednesday.

The officer, who was not identified, is under an Internal Affairs investigation, according to a news release.

"The language and tone used by our officer in the video is concerning and is not condoned by this department," spokesman Kevin Fair said in a statement.

The department did not elaborate further on what the officer allegedly did in the video. He was wearing a body camera, according to the release.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Internal Affairs Section at 609-347-5833.
