A three-day sweep for child support evaders last week ended in more than 30 arrests, Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Sheffler said.

The Atlantic County Sheriff's Office conducted the sweep April 17-19 with the Atlantic City Joint Task Force Unit. Officers checked more than 100 addresses of known violators, resulting in 28 arrests on child support warrants and six arrests on criminal warrants, the sheriff said.

A total of $6,400 was collected from those arrests.

Arrested on criminal charges were Bernard Moore, of Atlantic City, for robbery, and Lisa Brown, of Atlantic City, for narcotics. Andrew Wilson was charged with theft, Yasmeen Santiago for narcotics, Lisa Kayilaes, for narcotics, and Danny Cordero, of Pleasantville, for credit card theft.

Scheffler said his office will continue its timely investigation and execution of child support warrants.
