A company claiming to own the Revel brand said it wants to terminate its licensing agreement with the defunct casino-hotel.
Revel Group LLC, co-founded by Kevin DeSanctis, the resort’s former CEO, has “concerns with the use of its brand” by the failed beachfront business, according to a statement released Monday.
“In light of recent events, including the closure of the Revel Resort, Revel Group, as owner and licensor of the Revel brand, has put Revel Entertainment Group, LLC, as licensee of various Revel trademarks, on notice of the violations under the License Agreement,” the statement said.
