Like several other newspapers, The Press of Atlantic City has chosen not to run this week's series of Doonesbury comics that parody the Texas law requiring an ultrasound before an abortion is performed.

Instead, The Press will rerun other Doonesbury strips.

Over the decades, Garry Trudeau's great wit has left us laughing and contemplating the issues of our times. But the Texas abortion cartoons venture too far for the comics pages.
