LOWER TOWNSHIP — A township man was charged Feb. 23 with the distribution of methamphetamine and heroin, according to a news release from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
Decarlo Fleming, 49, of the Villas section of the township, was arrested during the execution of a search warrant. More than 100 bags of heroin and over half an ounce of methamphetamine were seized during the search, with a combined street value of $8,000 for the drugs, the news release stated.
Fleming was charged with second-degree distribution of methamphetamine, second-degree possession of methamphetamine, third-degree distribution of heroin, third-degree possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fleming was held in the Cape May County jail pending court proceedings, according to the release.
The arrest was part of a cooperative investigation between the police Detective Division and the prosecutor’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.
