GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — An Ocean City driver was hurt Thursday when his truck overturned on the Garden State Parkway, closing northbound lanes for about two hours.

Jason Gallagher, 42, lost control of a Chevy Silverado and crashed through the guard rail at 1:22 p.m. on the right-hand shoulder, State Police Trooper Gene Hong said.

The township Ambulance Squad took Gallagher to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus with injuries not considered life-threatening, he said.

One northbound lane reopened at 3:18 p.m. The scene was cleared by 4:03 p.m., State Police said.
