ATLANTIC CITY — A search warrant led to the arrest of two men and the recovery of over 100 bags of heroin, according to city police.
On Friday, a residential search warrant resulted in the arrest of Tevin Spivey, 27, of Atlantic City, and Steven Dunston, 24, also of Atlantic City. After a three-week investigation by Detective Garry Stowe, detectives of the Special Investigations Section executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 500 block of South Carolina Avenue.
Spivey was arrested after leaving the apartment and found with 22 bags of heroin. Dunston was arrested inside the apartment after detectives entered.
Detectives located 120 individual bags of heroin, several grams of unpackaged heroin and the materials to package heroin into individual bags. Detectives also located a large amount of hollow-point ammunition.
Spivey was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1000 feet of a school zone, maintaining a CDS production facility and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was remanded to the Atlantic County jail.
Dunston was charged with possession of a CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1000 feet of a school zone and possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card. He was released on a summons with a future court date.
