ATLANTIC CITY — Three people were arrested Friday on heroin-sales charges near the beach and a public library, police said.

Jonathan Porter, 26, of Trenton, and Jessica Maiorano, 29, of Atlantic City, were charged with possession and distribution of heroin after someone in the community tipped detectives to people selling drugs on Ocean Avenue, police said.

Porter also was charged with possession with intent to distribute, and both were wanted on warrants, police said.

Meanwhile, Officers Jefferson Riveria and Avette Harper had received information about a man selling heroin in front of the Atlantic City Library.

They arrested Romeo Ramone, 77, of Atlantic City, and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute and possession within 500 feet of a public place, police said.

Porter and Maiorano were taken to the Atlantic County jail in Mays Landing. Ramone was released on a summons, police said.
