Route 40 Flooding AC Expressway Road Closed

FILE

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory for South Jersey Friday afternoon.

The advisory will be in effect until 4 p.m. for coastal locations along Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth and Burlington counties. High tide on the back bays will occur later this afternoon, according to the advisory.

Minor tidal flooding is expected and often results in some road closures.

Authorities advise to move your vehicles to a location that is not prone to tidal flooding and to avoid driving through flood waters.
