ATLANTIC CITY — Officers recovered a gun and cocaine and arrested two men during a motor vehicle stop Friday afternoon, police said.

Officers Christopher Dodson and Alberto Valles stopped the car at 3:40 p.m. at Ohio and Atlantic avenues. After searching the car and finding the gun, they arrested the driver, Louis Roe Jr., 21, of Atlantic City, and passenger Naim Naji, 30, of Brigantine. Police said Naji had more than 14 grams of cocaine in his pants.

Roe was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and contempt of court and received a motor vehicle summons.

Naji was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while committing a CDS offense and certain persons not to possess a weapon.

The two were taken to the Atlantic County jail.
