MAYS LANDING — The driver in a fatal 2015 crash on the Atlantic City Expressway was sentenced to eight years in prison Friday, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Rashad E. Caswell, 30, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter in April.

The Egg Harbor Township crash killed Cierra J. Goodman, 27, of Pennsylvania, Caswell’s passenger.

Caswell was driving without a valid license Feb. 28, 2015, when he ran off the road near milepost 7.5 while heading east just after 10 p.m.

The car was found at the base of a steep embankment, with the passenger side crashed into a tree, according to the report.

Goodman, the car’s owner, was removed from the front passenger seat by State Police, who failed to revive her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
